Thanks to Kristilyn from Reading in Winter for designing the banner!

Have you ever finished a book and said “Man, I wish I could ________ like that?” Bookish Bucket List is a semi-regular feature for the things I’ve put on my bucket list and the books that made me do so.

Soulless cover
Title: Title

Author: Author

Summary: [from GoodReads]

First, she has no soul. Second, she’s a spinster whose father is both Italian and dead. Third, she was rudely attacked by a vampire, breaking all standards of social etiquette.

Where to go from there? From bad to worse apparently, for Alexia accidentally kills the vampire – and then the appalling Lord Maccon (loud, messy, gorgeous, and werewolf) is sent by Queen Victoria to investigate.

With unexpected vampires appearing and expected vampires disappearing, everyone seems to believe Alexia responsible. Can she figure out what is actually happening to London’s high society? Will her soulless ability to negate supernatural powers prove useful or just plain embarrassing? Finally, who is the real enemy, and do they have treacle tart?

Bucket List Entry: Attend a costume conference (like Comic Con etc.)

Why: Apparently, I’m still a huge kid on the inside, because I absolutely love to dress up. One of the major time periods I’d like to try and just never managed it is Victorian – or better yet Steampunk! There’s something about the styles from that era that just spark my imagination! Of course, I’d feel kind of silly dressing up all by myself, so a big part of this entry is working up the courage to go to a comic-con or some such event where everyone is in costume – who knows when I’ll manage that!
