Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and Amanda @ On a Book Bender shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week. Behind the Desk
(My life behind the scenes)
Lots going on recently! This past weekend my family and I went to Washington D.C. to visit family, and we had a fantastic time. Look for a full recap on Obsessed with Creativity in the near future! Oh and not to rub it in or anything, but I challenged Kristilyn to a reading contest while I was on vacation (no TV, and whoever reads most wins) and I won! To be fair, I only won by 100 pages, so I’ve offered a rematch someday 😉
I feel like there’s something else… OH YEAH! IT’S MY BIRTHDAY! As of 3:59AM today (2/24) I am 24! I’ve been told this means it’s my “golden year” and it will be the best year of my life. I kinda doubt that, but still, it’s pretty cool to turn 24 on the 24th, right?
Around the Corner
(Blog posts I found awesome since the last post)
SO MANY GOOD POSTS! You guys definitely didn’t forget to be awesome while I was gone! There are a few on the same topics, so I’ve grouped them together to make it easier to read.
- Reading slumps: Amanda (On a Book Bender) talked about too many choices creating them, and Lauren (The Housework Can Wait) discussed getting yourself out of them.
- Valentine’s Day: Lots of “love”-ly posts going around on Valentine’s day! Hannah (Once Upon a Time) discussed varying degrees of romance in books and Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) declared her love for light fluffy romances (ME TOO!)
- Jamie (Perpetual Page-Turner) confessed that she loves used books, and that she’s always nervous when her favorite authors put out new books.
- Gaby (Queen Ella-Bee Reads) shared her troubles with genre classifications for GoodReads shelves. I did this myself last year, so I totally get it!
- Danny (Bewitched Bookworms) discussed the rising trend of Indie authors being picked up by major publishing houses and prioritizing your blogging time when it’s short.
- And just because we all need to smile: Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) shared pics of her dog when she was a puppy (D’AWWWWW!!!) and Kelly (Reading the Paranormal) shared some things that make her happy.
