Clock Rewinders on a Book Binge is where Tara @ 25 Hour Books and Amanda @ On a Book Bender shamelessly plug each other, share the fantastic posts, giveaways, or whatever else we’ve found and loved by other awesome bloggers (or authors!) during the week, and talk about the books we plan on reading in the coming week. The Corner Newsstand
(This week on Creativity’s Corner)
- Monday I decided that the movie Stargate was a creeper favorite – one I just couldn’t stop thinking about!
- Tuesday I told EVERYONE to read Scarlet by Marissa Meyer. (Seriously. YOU. And you. And YOU over in the back there. EVERYONE must read it I tell you!)
- Wednesday I put out a call for more unusual shifters in paranormal books.
- Thursday I reviewed Splintered by A.G. Howard.
- Friday I asked if you schedule your Discussion posts ahead of time or if you like to just wing it. I got some pretty varied responses too, so make sure to check out the comments section!
Behind the Desk
(My life behind the scenes)
Same old, same old. No new news on the school front. BUT I want to take this opportunity to say that you guys are AWESOME!!! Seriously, I think I’ve gotten more amazing comments in this past week than I have ever gotten in a single week before.
OH! And, in case you’re a rabid Who-vian like me, I’m spending the month celebrating over on Obsessed with Creativity. This week I wrote about “Girl in the Fireplace” (one of my favorite episodes) and Rose’s music (part of a series on the themes that are associated with the Doctor’s companions).
Also, in case you don’t think you know enough about me, Kristilyn interviewed me on her second blog, Winter Distractions yesterday.
Around the Corner
(Blog posts I found awesome since the last post)
- Lauren (The Housework Can Wait) featured a guest post on Social Media Faux Pas by Liz C. Long.
- Jamie (Perpetual Page Turner) talks about her freakouts over the books she’ll never read.
- Felicia (Geeky Blogger’s Book Blog) explains her take on blog tours (they’re great but not miracle workers).
- Kristilyn (Reading in Winter) gave us a few tips on discussion writing.
- Gaby (Queen Ella Bee Reads) discussed the pros and cons of ARCs.
- Ginger (GReads) suggested a few Adult titles to try if you’re a YA reader and want to dip your toes into some Adult stuff.
- Lisa (Read. Breathe. Relax.) talked about book maps and how to use them.
- Kelley (Another Novel Read) asked about lifelong book assignments.
- Hannah (Once Upon a Time) and Danny (Bewitched Bookworms) both talked about what to do now that Google Reader is going away. I ditched Google Reader a while ago, and I now use Vienna – an open-source RSS software program for Macs. I love it, and would definitely recommend it!

I have Illuminate staring at me RIGHT NOW. I hope I can get to it in a few weeks. And I think I have a Sarah MacLean book on my shelf! I’ll have to read it! I love that you’re rereading Ready Player One … I could listen to that one again JUST because Wil Wheaton is an awesome narrator.
