Welcome to my first IMM post! IMM is hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren and it’s a chance to show off all the books we bought, borrowed or won in the past week. Most of mine will be borrowed as I have an AMAZING local library with a fabulous inter-library loan system (I can essentially get any book I like within a week at the most) so unless otherwise noted, just assume borrowed.

So! The list as of right now:

Cinder by Marissa Meyer – Just started this one, and I’m loving it already!

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – Cannot WAIT to start this one. I’ve heard so many good things about this book, and I’ve had it out from the library for a while but there were others due first. Luckily it’s up next!

Don’t Expect Magic by Kathy McCullough – I am such a fan of fairy tales, and I am so excited for this one!

Steampunk! ed. by Kelly Link and Gavin J. Grant – I always need more steampunk in my life!

Eona by Alison Goodman – I really liked the first one in this series, I’m hoping the second lives up to it.

Magic Study by Maria V. Snyder – another second in the series that I’m very excited for!

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta – From what I can tell Marchetta’s stuff isn’t really my usual, but I heard so many good things about this one I decided to try it.

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss – OK, seriously? How have I not read this yet?

Tiger’s Curse by Colleen Houck – Looks kind of interesting and I was curious.

The Compass Rose by Gail Dayton – For the first time in what seems like FOREVER I allowed myself to just browse the library instead of going for a specific book, and this is one of the ones I came up with. It sounds like it will be just up my alley!

Mairelon the Magician by Patricia C. Wrede – another one I’m not sure how I missed, this time because I love Wrede’s books, and have read every single one, or so I thought!

It’s a pretty big haul this week, but I can’t wait to just dive in!
