About the Reviewer

Anne spent most of her young life being told that finding a job reading books was nearly impossible, so instead she spent much of her life pursuing the only slightly less impossible dream of becoming a studio musician. Now 24, she has decided the life of a performer is not for her and has turned back to her original dream. Anne is currently working on a Masters of Library Science and a PhD in Musicology, so she might not be around much, but she still loves to read when she can! She finds most of her books at her local library, and she receives no compensation whatsoever for any reviews she publishes. But that’s okay, because, as she was told as a child, getting paid to read books is ridiculous.

When I’m looking at an “About Me” what I’m really looking for is what kind of books you read, so without further ado, here are some of my favorite books:

Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling

The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton

Nevermore by Kelly Creagh

The Seven Kingdoms by Kristin Cashore

Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr

Study by Maria V. Snyder

Divergent by Veronica Roth

The Steampunk Chronicles by Kady Cross

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

Revenants by Amy Plum

Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

Parasol Protectorate by Gail Carriger

Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa

Goddess Test by Aimee Carter

Faerie Wars – Herbie Brennan

The Thursday Next series – Jasper Fforde

And of course, anything Terry Pratchett

  1. I like that you put your favorite books on your about page! I’m going to do that :)

  2. Briana says:

I would argue people who work in publishing get paid to read books! Though I grant the job market there is competitive so it may be “difficult” to get paid to read books. 😉
