Sometimes decisions come back to bite you

Hi everyone – just a quick update. I know my posts are becoming more sporadic once again, and I am really sorry about that. I feel like I owe you an explanation.

Recently I received word that while I was accepted to a graduate program at a decent school, I was not accepted to the program I wanted. This is very frustrating and embarrassing for me, but it is also entirely my fault. I decided what I wanted to do fairly late in the year and I thought if I could get applications in quickly enough there would be some school that would accept me for what I wanted to do. I was desperate to move on with my life and I wanted to do it no matter the cost. Now I’m finding that’s not true, and the reward for my slapdash applications is having to do them over again.

As such, over the next few months I will be studying very hard to take various placement tests and prove that I really am a good student. It may take me some time to get used to the new hectic schedule, so please bear with me until I get it all sorted out.

In the meantime, I love you ALL! Thank you for all your support, and I hope you will continue to stick around – I have some very big things in the works coming soon.

Bummer that you have to resubmit your applications, but good luck with the placement tests and fingers crossed you'll get accepted in the program you want!
