Today, I decided to try something new. I’ll be participating in Top Ten Tuesdays at least for the rest of the year. I’m really excited to get to know all of you! As I often work on Tuesdays I will probably not return visits until Wednesdays, but leave a comment and I can guarantee I’ll come visit your blog by the end of the week (I’m curious like that). TTT is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish (love the blog name by the way, totally true of me too!) Hop on by to see the rest of the entries.

This week’s list is top ten sequels you can’t wait to read. Here’s mine:

1) Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter – WANT NOW! I’m soooooo excited for this one! =)

2) Insurgent by Veronica Roth – So um, this one too. I don’t care that there’s not a summary up, I’m willing to go over to Amazon and preorder it now.

3) The Torn Wing by Kiki Hamilton – Yes, I am aware that the first one isn’t even out yet. But considering The Faerie Ring was one of my absolute FAVORITE books of 2011, I kind of have to have this, like yesterday! (Also, look out for my review of The Faerie Ring, coming out as part of a tour in the next couple weeks.)

4) The Girl in the Clockwork Collar by Kady Cross – Another absolute FAVORITE of 2011, I had to put this one on there!

5) Goliath by Scott Westerfeld – Technically this is the third in the series not the sequel, but I don’t care. I love steampunk, I love the Clankers versus Beasties, and I want to know what happens to Deryn and Alek! ONLY 14 MORE DAYS! =D

6) Enshadowed by Kelly Creagh – Ok, that cliff hanger? NOT COOL! Oh and that release date? ALSO NOT COOL! How can I possibly wait ANOTHER year for more Varen?

7) Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan – Slightly different than the rest of the list, but I’m still looking forward to this one. Heroes of Olympus is possibly my favorite Riordan series so far, and I am seriously looking forward to finding out what happens! (Now if only he’d write a series on Norse myth after this one…)

8) Supernaturally by Kiersten White -Technically out already this summer, but I still haven’t got a copy, so it counts, right?

9) Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare -TMI may not be my favorite series ever (it’s good, just not a favorite) but ID definitely is! I guess I just prefer my vamps and other shadow creatures with a flavor of steampunk. I cannot wait for this next installment!

10) Red Glove by Holly Black – Already out for a while, I know, but I haven’t gotten to it yet, and I really REALLY want to!

I’m sure I could find more I’m looking forward to, but those are the first 10 that come to mind. What are yours?

You mention a few series that I need to start!

    Here's my weak answer

Insurgent's on my list, too. And nearly everyone else's–Divergent was just too good.

I'm a little behind on Riordan's books, though. I had to put Percy Jackson #2. :)

    Great list!

You've got a great list going here- I agree with so many of them, and got a lot of similar books on my list =) I think I'm the most anxious for Enshadowed, that was such a huge cliffhanger and the longest wait ever.

Wow, you have an amazing list! Some of these first books are HIGH on my TBR list, so I'm jealous that you've already read them by now. I have read the prequel to the Steampunk Chronicles and totally loved that, so I know I like that series already…

Thanks for visiting and following my blog!

  7. Kate says:

    I need Insurgent ASAP!

Of course Supernaturally still counts if you've not read it yet 😛

  8. Julie says:

I'm looking forward to Enshadowed, too! Let's see…Life Eternal (Dead Beautiful), The Iron Knight, and I'm sure there are others. lol

Right? the release date for Enshadowed is so far away! I need to find out what happens next!
